21st May, U8 Cobra's - vs West Pymble Kangaroos
Another beautiful day and a complete team on the field.
Connor and Thomas had elected to be goalies this game.
The team was split into back and attack lines and we certainly played one of our best games.
Connor was a spurt of activity in the goal, very pro-active and did a great job in the first half.
Luka, Daniel, Errol and Kai formed the back line. All of them played very well and, very important, showed some good teamwork.
In the front line we had Ethan continuing his great game, with Thomas and Luke putting in a very strong performance together with Hayley who came very close to scoring goals a few times.
Second half had Thomas in goal. Thomas is a very reliable player and he proofed that also in goal he continues that job.
Hayley, Ethan, Connor and Luke kept trying and trying, but they just could not get the ball between the goalposts.
In the last minute of play, the West Pymble Kangaroos had a very good and lucky shot at goal. The game ended with 1-0 for them.
A pity, because I think the Cobra's also deserved a goal too after all their hard work.
A great game to watch and very good to see this enormous improvement in play by the team.
Everybody did a very good job and it was difficult to decide who would take home the player award: this week, Luka could take the trophy home as award for his very consistent and strong defence work.
