Match report U8 Cobras vs Hornsby Height Possums, Saturday 14 May
An early (cold) start last Saturday. We played the Hornsby Heights Possums again. The first game again this team was a very close call - we only managed to get a goal in 2 minutes before time. So, we knew this would be another exciting game - two teams that are well matched.
We played with 7 players only, no subs, so everybody was working even harder than normal.
The first half saw Hayley in goal, supported by Luka, Thomas and Luke. Attacks were being led by Ethan, with Kai and Errol on the flanks. Everybody tried their best, but unfortunately in the second half, we got pushed more and more into our own goal area and finally Hornsby Height scored a beautiful goal. Even then, the Cobras did not give up and kept going back but did not manage to translate this effort into a goal.
A great game to watch, with great play from everybody.
